i’m emily. :) and i agree to a certain extent that some people become power hungry, but thats more of a psychological thing where if there is a dominant alpha type person in a group then everyone else is going to follow them. all in all, the necessity of it is to keep most people from doing the wrong kind of actions, and to make others feel safer from these people. (because Batman doesn’t exist.) haha
